Self adhesive cellular foams are narrow tapes of foam with either one or two adhesive sides. They seal against moisture, insects and airflow through an area, and can be used for insulation and soundproofing. Primarily, they are used for sealing and/or cushioning windows, roofing, partition walls, heating and ventilation, profiled sheeting, rooflights and gutter joints.
There are two varieties of cellular foam:
Made up of slightly open cells, this foam is significantly softer and less dense than its closed counterpart, and is highly flexible. Open cell cellular foam expands by up to 3 inches when sprayed, making it ideal for filling tricky areas.
Made up of completely closed cells, this foam is more rigid and firm, and can insulate and keep moisture and air out more effectively than open cell cellular foam. Closed cell cellular foam expands by up to 1 inch when sprayed.
Applying our self-adhesive cellular foams is easy – simply apply straight from the roll, removing the liner strip as you go, for a clean and even finish. Most of our self-adhesive cellular foams are compatible with most common building materials including steel, uPVC, glass and aluminium.
